| The wild coastline of Kangaroo Island awakens to a hauntingly beautiful dawn. A trio of seagulls perched on the distant rocks shares this surreal awakening with me. Peering across the strait to the mainland, I watch in amazement as fiery bands of yellow and red ignite the horizon. As the sea reflects clearing cloud and blue sky above, the jagged rock shelf at my feet emerges from darkness. |
