| The Ross Jones rock pool is an icon of Sydney's eastern beaches. In the midst of a dispersing storm, the pool emerges from darkness with a surreal luminosity. This special image has become truly valuable since the pool was repaired in 2005 using concrete to completely conceal its crumbling, golden, moss covered charm - a unique appearance which embodied its 1947 vintage and place in Sydney's coastal heritage. I am fortunate to have captured this memorable image of the pool in that original state which was so admired. |
