In stark contrast to my traditional large format cameras, in the realm of printing photographs I have whole-heartedly embraced digital technology. My primary goal is to produce the best colour landscape photographs possible, using whatever tools are available to me. The latest advancements in digital scanning and printing are truly remarkable, allowing me to produce far superior photographs than traditional chemical processes ever did. My professionally-processed transparencies are digitally scanned using the very best in scanning technology, giving the best possible digital image files in terms of resolution, clarity, colour and contrast. The digital image is then exposed onto quality archival paper using the very latest generation of large-format photographic printers. This digital process of producing photographic prints from transparencies is superior to traditional darkroom processes in all respects, in particular resulting in cleaner, sharper and more detailed images. |
